I consider myself a media artist, designer and technician.

My professional experience as a media artist and designer is widespread and includes among others the conception, production and postproduction of sound and video works, both within my main occupation at the sound studio of the University of Music FRANZ LISZT in Weimar, as part of the collective ephemer.art and as a freelancer.

At the studio I mainly work on music video productions as a producer, camera operator, editor and colorist, but things like technical development of our studio facilities are playing an important role, too. University teaching is part of my portfolio as well when conducting workshops and seminars on the verge between art and tech on a regular basis.

As founding member of the media art collective ephemer.art, I work together with artists, curator or whole institutions to think and build media artworks from sound or video and performances. Our range of activities include consulting, concepts but also technical setups and maintenance of artworks or whole exhibitions.

Being a freelancer, I put all of my experience and knowledge in projects like technical concepts and setup of sound or video studios or as an art handler for known media artists like Bill Viola.

My own artistic work contains multichannel sound installations, electroacoustic compositions, live electronics and video art, mainly for theatre plays. In my works, I have a strong focus on the examination and manipulation of rooms.
